Fostering

You could help make a real difference to a child's life by becoming a foster carer with the Western Health and Social Care Trust.

Foster Carers are ordinary people from all walks of life who care about children and want to help them through a difficult time in their lives.

We welcome short-term, long-term, emergency and respite foster carers. You can care for children of all ages, backgrounds and varying needs for as little as a few days to the remainder of their childhood.

Applications will be considered from individuals irrespective of age, gender, race, religion, marital status, income, working arrangements or sexual orientations. Foster carers may or may not have children of their own.

Our foster carers receive financial allowances, training and 24 hour support to help them undertake the fostering task.

Whatever time or commitment you could offer a child in need, we would be delighted to hear from you.

The Western Trust has responsibility to find a home for these children. Your call could be exactly what we are waiting for.
