Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Small Engine Mechanic to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of small engines, including lawnmowers, chainsaws, and other outdoor power equipment. Duties

Conduct comprehensive diagnostics on small engines to identify faults and issues.

Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including engine overhauls, carburettor servicing, and electrical system troubleshooting.

Assemble and test repaired equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Maintain accurate records of all service work carried out.

Order parts and supplies as needed to ensure efficient workflow.

Follow health and safety guidelines diligently during all repair procedures.

Provide advice and guidance to customers regarding maintenance and proper use of equipment.

Keep the workshop clean, organised, and safe at all times.

Experience

Proven experience in small engine repair or a related mechanical field is preferred.

Knowledge of petrol engines, electrical systems, and mechanical components is essential.

Familiarity with diagnostic tools and repair manuals is advantageous.

Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and parts management.

Relevant certifications or qualifications in small engine repair or mechanical engineering are desirable but not mandatory.
