JEAN’S COUNTRY MUSIC STORE OMAGH WELCOMES ANNE BIDDIE THIS SATURDAY AT 1.30PM
The music shop which opened its doors at 2 Scarffe’s Entry Omagh last November has been welcomed as a much needed service in the town.
Omagh’s Legend in Country Music Brian Coll, and CMA award winner Pio McCann with many talented artists officially opened the shop on 6th December last.
Country Music has never been as popular as it is to-day, the support of the young people has created a thriving business in this field, both here in Ireland and in America.
Nathan Carter, Derek Ryan, Lisa McHugh, Mike Denver, Robert Mizzell Johnny Brady to name but a few are much sought after artists. We eagerly await new albums from Nathan Carter, Jim Devine, Joe Moore and Lee Matthews in the Spring.
The Irish legends are still bringing out new material, Philomena Begely, Mick Flavin, Big Tom and Daniel O’Donnell all launched new material just before Christmas.
American singer Garth Brooks set the Country Music Scene buzzing on January 30th when the tickets for his July concerts went on sale. If you didn’t get one of the 400,000 tickets don’t despair as you can purchase the Garth Brooks box set “Blame It On My Roots” at Jean’s Country Music Store, enjoy his music at home or in the car, Jean has an extensive selection of American Country Music albums, requested orders a speciality.
On Saturday afternoons from 1.30pm until 3 pm The Rising Stars and Legends Platform in Jean’s shop will showcase Country Music talent, this Saturday 15th February Anne Biddie will kick start the trend.
Anne Biddie [McGonigly] from Fanad Head in Donegal is now living a lifelong dream of singing and song writing, her latest album “My Songs To You” a 10 track self penned includes tracks such as “Maybe Not To-day” “Four Foot Eleven” and “Queen Of Secrets”. Her music is played on radio stations throughout Ireland and features regularly on Sky TV 191.
Come along and hear Anne sing meet new friends and have a wee chit chat at Jean’s Country Music Store this Saturday at 1.30pm
Vincy Walmsley and Anthony McBrien will grace the Rising Stars and Legends Platform on 22nd February, followed by Sweet Harmony from Enniskillen on 1st March.
Whilst the shop does not have the Ticket Master facility yet, tickets are on sale for local concerts
The Greats of Country Music Johnny Cash, June Carter, George Jones Patsy Cline and many more will be performed in Killyclogher Hall on 7th March by Dee Reilly from Nashville, Joe Moore, Tony Kerr, Diane Cannon, Jason McGilligan and The Hot Country Band, tickets also on sale for JP Mac Johnny Cash Tribute show in Cookstown on 21st March.
